David Specialist Orthodontics was founded by Dr. David Gunaratnam since 1980 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Being one of the first Orthodontic practices in KL , David Specialist Orthodontics still strives to give you the best in fixing your smile and serving your dental needs.
We have two branches ; main branch located at the at the buzzing heart of Kuala Lumpur and another branch at Damansara Perdana; headed by Dr Muhamad Subra & his team specializing in Orthodontic treatment, Oral Surgery, Cosmetic Dentistry and also General Dentistry

Dr Muhamad Subra completed his professional orthodontic training at the Birmingham Dental School, Birmingham England in 1994, and at the same time he served as Orthodontics registrar from 1991-1994.
For the past decade he has worked exclusively and extensively with the Damon Self ligating system in fixed appliances system.He has published and presented various scientific articles in international journals and conferences.

Dato’ Dr David qualified as an orthodontist in the year of 1972 from The Royal College of Surgeons, London. He is the founder of David Specialist Orthodontics and first Malaysian to open a private practice exclusively for orthodontics only, in Kuala Lumpur. Currently he is the clinical advisor and orthodontic consultant at our practice.

Dato’ Dr Rani had completed his early studies from Royal Military College and obtained his dental degree in 1983 from University of Baghdad Iraq. Then had served with the armed forces and furthered his studies later in 1989 in the UK being attached to several teaching hospitals in Scotland and England. Dr. Rani did his surgical fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow, as well as England and completed training as a registrar in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Rani is Former Dean of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and today heads the Dental Department in University Sharjah, UAE.
